Our Long Journey is Almost Over
For almost 2 1/2 years my beautiful daughter, Natalie, has endured a long journey through cancer! I am thrilled to say that this journey is FINALLY nearing its end! After Natalie's chemotherapy this month, she will only have ONE MORE TREATMENT LEFT on Feb, 21!
To celebrate this important time in her life, Natalie wants to bring toys to all the children at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital who are suffering from cancer or other dangerous blood disorders. She wants to bring joy to children like the little toddler boy who was across the hall from us during her last hospitalization. The poor little guy would sob everytime a nurse came in because he didn't understand what was happening to him. Then there was the beautiful little girl who always wore princess dresses and would ride her little pink bike around the hallways because she had very few chances to go outside. In fact, this little girl has to stay in the hospital for 28 days in a row to receive treatment, the she's allowed to go home for 2 days then returns for another 28 days of treatment. These are only two of the many of children who spend much of their childhood in the hospital.
Please help Natalie make these children's lives a bit brighter by donating some toys so she can bring them to the hospital on the last day of her treatment. Natalie wants to celebrate her freedom from cancer and chemotherapy by giving to others.
If you would like to donate a new or gently used toy, please bring them to the Jr. High office by February 20th and put them in the gray tub marked "Toys & Tabs." The toys don't have to be anything large or expensive; match-box cars, baby dolls, arts and crafts, etc would be wonderful. Oh, and keep bringing those tabs in! Thank you so much!!! - Mrs. Marshall

Cross-Walk Safety
Unfortunately, as in year's past, we continue to have drivers passing vehicles, or speeding, in our cross-walks at the Jr. High. Please be advised and reminded that the entire street in front of the Jr. High is a NO PASSING ZONE. Persons found in violation of this will be reported to law enforcement officials. As for the cross-walks, you must stop prior to the line(s) when dropping off a student, or when a vehicle in the on-coming lane is dropping a student. For the safety of our students, we thank you for your cooperation. Thank You - Mr. Laster
