We are pleased to say that graduation plans have been finalized. 8th grade graduation will be held on Thursday, May 20th, at 6:00 PM, at the Anna City Park band shelter. Each graduate may bring up to 8 guests. Each graduate will have a marked 10’x10’ area for their guests to sit in. These areas will be randomly selected for graduates and will be communicated to graduates and families prior to the date of the ceremony. Please remember that guests must bring their own chairs and must sit in the identified area for their graduate. Students will practice the mornings of May 19th and 20th, and must be present for both practices in order to participate in the ceremony. On May 20th, students will be bused back to the school and dismissed from there, once they have completed a satisfactory walk-through of the ceremony (usually around 10:30-11:00 AM). Students should arrive for the ceremony at 5:45 PM, and meet at the Union County Fair Exhibit Building (across the street from the band shelter). In order to prevent traffic from disrupting the ceremony, the road will be blocked in the area adjacent to the ceremony. Parking will be available in all other areas of the park and in the city pool parking lot. Due to limited parking it is suggested that people car pool if possible. If you need handicapped parking, seating, or assistance, please call the Anna Jr. High office at 833-6415, to alert us of your need as soon as possible. For friends and family not able to attend, the event will be recorded and be able to be viewed on the Annalive YouTube channel. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be postponed until Monday, May 24th. If your child is graduating, but will not be participating in the ceremony, please call the Anna Jr. High office to let us know. Although it will be different, we are excited to celebrate with our graduates this year, and look forward to seeing you there.
