Dear District 37 Parents/Guardians

It’s hard to believe it, but Christmas is fast approaching. In an effort to make this year’s Christmas program(s) as enjoyable as possible, we are sending this note to make you aware of some dates, times, and procedures.

In order to make the programs less crowded, easier to view/hear, and more comfortable, we are splitting the performances into two nights. On December 12th, 1st and 2nd grade will perform at 6:00 PM, and 3rd and 4th grade will perform at 7:00 PM. On December 14th, Kindergarten will perform at 6:00 PM, and the Jr. High band and chorus will perform at 7:00 PM. All programs will be held in the lower gymnasium at the Jr. High School. On the respective nights of their performance, the following procedures should be followed: Kindergarten students will assemble in the upper cafeteria, and be picked up after the program in the upper cafeteria. 1st and 2nd grade students will assemble in the upper gymnasium, and be picked up after the program in the upper gymnasium. 3rd grade students will assemble in their classrooms and be picked up after the program in their classrooms. 4th grade students will assemble in their classrooms and be picked up after the program in the upper gymnasium. Please bring your child to their designated assembly area prior to the programs start time, but not earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start. At the end of your child’s program, please remain seated, and allow the children to go back to their designated pick up area with their teacher. When picking your child up, please pick them up from their designated area, and please speak personally with your child’s teacher, so we can be sure that all children are delivered safely to the appropriate adult. For those not able to attend, we will stream the programs on our district YouTube page. We will have parking available on the lower playground, across from the old Ford garage. We also hope to have our new parking lot, across from the Jr. High, available as well, but do not know at this point if it will be finished by then. We will send out more information closer to the events.

We are very proud of our students, so we want to make the most of these nights. As always, we know it will be crowded, so we are trying to spread things out the best way possible. We want this to be an enjoyable evening for all. You should receive notes from your child’s teacher as well, providing more detail. Should you have any questions regarding the program(s), please feel free to contact your child’s school office. We look forward to seeing you at the performances.
Merry Christmas
