Students and staff of Anna CCSD #37 would like to thank Ms. Dori Bigler, Tom Caldwell, The City of Anna, Jason Tabor, and the Anna Jonesboro Garden Club for donating three beautiful maple trees. As part of the Tree City USA program, Tom Caldwell organized the planting of the trees and, with the aid of our Student Council, planted the trees in front of the Davie/ Jr. High School. Thank you!

Thanks to the " Local Foods for Schools program," we now have grant money to purchase food from our local producers. Today is the first of what I hope is many days where I got to go directly to the producer, in this case, Halls Berry Farm." This program not only allows us to bring the freshest, best-quality fruits and vegetables to our students but also brings revenue to our local producers.
Mrs.Thurston's 4th Grade class decided to have a lemonade war after reading the book "The Lemonade War". Students raised $143.97 for St.Jude's Children's Research Hospital!
8th grade pictures for the graduation slideshow are due by May 8th. We would like a "little kid" picture and a current picture of each 8th grader. If you don't send in a current picture, we will use the most current yearbook picture. You can send them in with your student or you can email Mrs. Pierson at spierson@anna37.com.

Malone's Taffy Fundraiser Forms are due today 4/12, however we will collect orders forms on Monday, after school. No orders after Monday will be accepted. This is our final fundraiser for the school year, thanks so much for supporting Anna District 37 PTO.

With approximately 6 weeks of school left, it is extremely important that students continue to work hard, study, and turn in assignments. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Congratulations to the Anna Junior high band and chorus, who recently participated in the IL Grade School Music Association’s State Organizational Contest.
The Band received an Excellent rating and the Chorus received a Superior rating. We are very proud of these students and their instructors.

Good morning District 37 parents and guardians. This is a reminder that schools will dismiss at 2:15 today for parent teacher conferences, and on Thursday for spring break. There will be no school on Friday, March 29th - Monday, April 8th. School will resume on Tuesday, April 9th. Thank you and Happy Easter.
